Molly Rose steps back into the mix with a new stretching video for the winter season
Lovely social media sensation Molly Rose hails from British Columbia. Molly is a fresh faced Canadian rose, limber and fit. Molly comes from a ballet background and has a repertoire of stretches. She is just back from Los Angeles with a new stretching video on her YouTube channel, that is curated for the colder winter months.
It is harder to exercise and get your steps in when it is cold outside, so Molly’s new video will really get you moving. Molly shares how recently she has been feeling under the weather from all of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, as well as from traveling. Molly underscores the fact of how we should “prioritize rest” now more than ever, and her stretching routine is curated precisely for that. Molly’s supine grace is on full display as she unwinds and undulates with every stretch. Her stretch routine hits just the right spot, as it works out all of the kinks and knots in your body. Molly emphasizes that her stretching technique is done as a seated stretch.
Molly commences her seated stretches by hugging her legs and then moving her body from side to side. Starting at the feet, Molly is wiggling her toes as she rolls around and shifts her weight until she feels like she is massaging her body from within. This warmup stretch consists of moving your neck and feet until you are ready to assume the “butterfly stretch” position, after which Molly proceeds to grab her toes and assume a long deep stretch. Molly cannot help but emphasize how important it is to do a warm up stretch. Keeping your body warm is good for your overall health and prevents injury. Molly’s opening stretches serve to open up the hips, and to stretch out and loosen the hamstring muscles. She puts one of her legs in front of the other as she rotates her body in a circular motion, which also loosen the hips. Molly then stretches her leg out to one side and grabs her toes with one arm, as she executes a side stretch. She then hugs her body in order to stretch her back out. Molly performs the same stretch on the opposite leg. She then put one of her legs on the opposite leg bending it as she rolls back and forth, in order to get a deep down leg stretch. As she performs the same stretch on the opposite leg, Molly invites her audience to share what their traditions are for the holidays. She shares that a popular Christmas Eve tradition in her family is to gift pajamas to one another. Molly is wearing the pajama pants from the set that her Mother gifted her last Christmas, as she finds them comfortable to stretch in.
Scrolling on her phone is bad for her neck and shoulders, so Molly rolls her neck around to get rid of stiffness. She really recommends this stretch for neck and shoulder stiffness. Molly then stretches her legs in front of her, as she flexes her feet. Raising up her arms as she bends forward into a “salutation pose,” Molly stretches and “walks” her legs from side to side, until she eases in to a rolling squatting position. From there it easy to stand up as Molly places her feet in and her head down, as she moves it from side to side. She goes in for a plank and then cobra stretch pose, as she slowly rolls up, Molly shakes everything out. The ten minute ‘gentle stretch’ routine is now done and Molly advises that the stretches ‘should be done slowly with no bouncing”.
